A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.

Reading through a pile of term papers, as she enjoyed a cup of Italian roast coffee, Dr. Lilly Mayweather came across one paper of particular interest to her.

The paper, written by a student named James Thomas, had several references to publications that Mayweather herself had written. Thomas, having done his due diligence, had presented a paper of great quality.

“This is sterling work,” as she finished her second cup of coffee, thought Mayweather to herself. “James Thomas could go far.”

Thomas, with an understanding of research and what it takes to succeed in the academic world, gets an A.
