Please be advised Ironbridge drabble series contains adult material…

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.

Millie Sheppard, as she takes the time to put her groceries away, hears the front door open.

“Morghan?” Mille said. “Is that you?”

“Yes, mom,” came a response. “I’m home.”

Morghan Sheppard, with her fifth-year-school bag in hand, enters the kitchen.

“Your grandfather is back,” Millie told her daughter. “He has a gift he wants to give you. You’ll be stoked.”

“That’s right,” as he entered the kitchen, Alister Sheppard thought inwardly. “Morghan’s getting stoked. Real hard.”

Sheppard, placing a large box of cream sodas on the kitchen table smiles. Morghan, pleased with her gift, is happily surprised.
