Random Drabble Word: “Summer”…
Please be advised the New York’s Finest series contains themes of an adult nature….
A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
It was a lazy Summer afternoon in the city that doesn’t sleep. All the usual suspects, known pervs to the New York Police Department, were wandering around Central Park.
Jake “The Snake” Abbott, a registered sex offender, was sitting next to a teenager when Detectives Jeff Randall and Marty Hopkirk made their presence felt.
“Miss,” addressing the teenager directly, Randall said. “What’s your name?”
“It’s Charlotte Grainger,” said the teenager. “I’m a student over at…”
“Manhattan Preparatory Academy,” noting the uniform, Hopkirk said. “You don’t need to be sat next to this perv.”
“Understood,” Grainger responded. “Bye… Uncle Jake. Later!”
