Donald Grainger, enjoying a well-earned cup of coffee, sat at his kitchen stable. Grainger, sparing no expense, had purchased for his residence a new gas stove. The new stove, forest green in colour, is huge and weighs a ton. Gas hobs are marvellous.

It took Grainger and the delivery personnel hours to get the stove, an Aga, into place. The delivery driver, on seeing Granger’s kitchen, was amazed by such gadgets.

“You must be a chef,” said the delivery driver. “Most fine dining establishments don’t have such equipment.”

“Thank you,” Grainger said. “I’m a qualified chef. I like my gadgets.”
