Not too far from Ironbridge, on the opposite side of the river, you will find Broseley and Jackfield. Broseley and Jackfield are small sleepy out of the way places most people would not know existed if they had never been there.
On the road up the hill towards Broseley, before you get to the village, there is a little cottage known to locals as Rivendell.
Rivendell, named for J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth Elven settlement, is home to a certain Detective Chief Inspector John Edward Hopkins.
Hopkins is known to possess a particular skillset that sets him apart from other detectives.
