Alister Sheppard, returning to the police station, stops by the front desk. Desk Sergeant Richard Gough, going over some paperwork, looks up and sees Sheppard approaching him.

“I hope you’ve been treating my grandson kindly,” with a wink, Sheppard said to Gough. “He deserves everything he gets.”

“Not half,” responded Gough. “Goldilocks gets it all.”

“Goldilocks?” questioned Sheppard. “Is that his nickname?”

“Yes,” laughed Gough. “Three of his regulars gave him that name.”

“Three regulars,” Sheppard pondered. “It must have been three bears.”

“Nailed it,” Gough said, “and now go nail that grandson.”

Sheppard, smiling broadly, heads to The Nunnery.

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
