Captain Kate Dixon, sitting at her desk, was having a fair quiet day. Oddly, even though it is the City That Doesn’t Sleep, there was seemingly nothing for her detectives to investigate.

A huge smile, seeing Captain Ed Hopkins enter the bullpen with a large box of Krispy Kreme donuts, suddenly appears on Dixon’s face.

“I hope you’ve got something in there for me,” addressing Hopkins, Dixon said. “A bear claw would be just the ticket.”

“That’s exactly what I have for you,” responded Hopkins. “There are two. One for now and one for later… If you’d like them both.”

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
