Random Drabble Word: “Aptitude”…
Dr. Lilly Mayweather, when significantly younger than she is today, paid little to no attention to her schoolwork.
Her aptitude for academic pursuits, back then, was practically zero. She was voted the student most likely to not get anywhere fast.
Mayweather, inspired by her hero Indiana Jones, preferred practical work to her studies.
“You fancy yourself a real Cindiana Jones,” with more than a hint of sarcasm, Dr. Andrew McDonald said to her one day, “What say you?”
“You might be right,” with a smile, Mayweather responded.
Little did anyone realize, including her teachers, what a legend Mayweather would become.
