Sam Beckett wanted to explain his actions. No one was listening. No one cared enough to pay attention. Sam, because of this, felt like he had been left out in the cold. Abandoned would be a good word.

Nothing, if people were not prepared to listen, could be explained. There is something that could be said for supporting people in their hour of need.

The truth, no matter which way you look at it, is always better than a lie. Sam needed help. He asked for help and when he did, unquestionably, people turned their backs on him. That’s that.

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. It is never less than 100 words. Nor is it more than 100 words. The read time is short. It is typically 30 seconds to a minute or so… Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. Leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
