Random Drabble Word(s): “Window” and “Cake”
A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
English Professor Rachell Garrett, looking through her bedroom window, observed her neighbour carrying from his car a large box.
“Someone has been to T. Wedge Bakery,” as she sipped her morning coffee, Garrett said to herself. “I wonder what he could have bought that would require a large box.”
The day, just like other days, unfolded as normal. Garrett spent most of the day grading papers. She was still grading papers when the doorbell rang.
Garrett, when she opened her door, found all her neighbours and a cake.
“Happy Birthday,” collectively, the neighbours said.
Garrett had forgotten her own birthday.
