Personally, back in the day, I was a CNA. It didn't take me long to figure out it was not for me. It is what it is. Your story, and other stories I have read today, reminded me of this fact.

I like the dramatic tone in your writing. There is more than a modicum of sadness embedded in your story. Curiously, in some stories, it doesn't work. In this case, because of your approach, it works perfectly. Nicely done.
