Random Drabble Word: “Flute”…

Roger Davies, seated in his library, was disturbed by the doorbell. A UPS deliverer, with a package in hand, presented Davies with a clipboard. Davies signed the attached form.

“I wonder what this could be,” Davies said to himself. “It could be anything.”

Davies, once the wrapping was removed, immediately recognized one of his childhood musical instruments. A sterling silver flute. Quickly removing the parts from the box and assembling them, in short order, Davies started playing a Mozart composed piece.

The last time Davies had played his flute, some 30 years earlier, he was 12 years old. Davies played.
