Matthew James Fletcher, not remotely interested in watching or playing sports of any kind had never been the participate sort. Physical Education, commonly referenced as P.E., was the bane of Fletcher’s existence.

There was this one time, because he had deliberately forgotten to take with him his gym clothing, Fletcher had been forced to participate in the lesson in his underwear. Mrs. Jones, if you recall, had been Fletcher’s teacher at the John Wilkinson School. She obviously though it amusing.

That was something Fletcher had never forgotten, mainly because, thinking ahead soon became his go-to mindset. The next time, something the teachers should have seen coming, Fletcher opted to not wear any underwear.

“Did you not learn anything the last time you didn’t bring with you your P.E. kit?,” Mrs. Jones, with a slight smile on her face, said. “You’re going to have to participate in your underwear again.”

“That’s not happening,” Fletcher responded, “because I’m not wearing any underwear. … If you want me to go out there naked, fine, I’m up for that. Are you?”
