Random Drabble Word of the Day is “Passageways”…

John’s Dyke, found on the River Seven, was established in 1667 when Jonathon Dyke relocated from London. Dyke, because of the previous year’s Great Fire, saw much of his vast wealth go up in flames.

The hamlet consists of three houses. The houses are connected via a maze of subterranean passageways. Further to the passageways, more rumour than anything else, there are many storage rooms.

The exact number of storage rooms is unknown. It is widely rumoured these rooms house occupants for illicit purposes.

Dyke, whilst a London resident, is known to have owned an establishment known as The Nunnery.

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
