Random Drabble Word: “Radar”…
Raymond Carter, every time he crossed paths with a certain chef, felt something curious.
“Is it radar or Gaydar?” thought Carter.
Donald Grainger, a retired pastry chef, frequents Hammersmith’s Kosher Deli every Wednesday and Thursday. Chef Simon Hammersmith makes the best kosher BLT sandwich in the neighbourhood. Turkey bacon not pork.
Carter, seeing Grainger sat at his usual table, awkwardly smiles. Grainger, noting almost every seat were taken, offers Carter a seat opposite him.
“A BLT on rye,” if you please, Carter said to the waitress. “It’s a great sandwich.”
“You’re not wrong,” Grainger commented.
The two men sat chatting.
