Millie and Alister Sheppard, each enjoying a nice cup of Italian roast coffee, where sat at the kitchen table when Morghan entered the room.

“I’m going to give school a miss today,” Morghan told her mother. “I’m not feeling too good. It could have been something I eat.”

“Or possibly drank,” Morghan’s grandfather thought inwardly. “It looks like I’ve scored a home run.”

The elderly gentleman, for almost two weeks, had been treating his granddaughter to GHB laced cream soda.

“Mission accomplished,” without thinking, Sheppard said openly.

“What?” Millie asked.

“Just thinking aloud,” Sheppard said. “I’ve helped a friend out. She’s pumped.”
