Random Drabble Word: “Quill”…
Please be advised the New York’s Finest series contains themes of an adult nature….
A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
Captain Kate Dixon, after observing Captain Ed Hopkins sign his name with a quill, looked at Detective Ed Greene with a modicum of amazement.
“I remember you saying Hopkins was a little old fashioned,” Dixon said to Greene. “That’s putting it mildly.”
“Quills are classic writing tools,” having overheard part of their conversation, Hopkins said with a smile. “And if it was good enough for William Shakespeare…”
“Understood,” giggling, Dixon responded.
“With this British cop dying in Manhattan,” said Hopkins, “I was wondering if I could accompany the body back to Sleepy Hollow.”
“Go,” Dixon said, “Take Greene with you.”
