Chapter One. Part Four.
Nothing Ventured… (Part 1 of 2)
Concerning Matthew James Fletcher…
Matthew James Fletcher, no stranger to the world of cottaging, crossed paths with a certain Ronald Paul George. George, much older than Fletcher, had been keeping an eye on the cottage entrance the entire morning.
Cottage, if you’re wondering that the context of the meeting place is, is a gay term for men’s public restroom. Men pick each other up at the cottage and either have sex in one of the stalls or find somewhere private to shag. George entered the cottage seconds after Fletcher had walked into the place.
George took Fletcher back to his place, on Market Street, and did what he needed to do. The two of them, getting talking, ended up heading to Shrewsbury. People not familiar with Shropshire may not have heard of Shrewsbury.
Shrewsbury is fairly well-known for its association with Charles Darwin and, to a lesser extent, Charles Dickens. George worked at the Shrewsbury Superbowl as security. What kind of person was George?
Certainly not the kind a parent would wants around either their sons or daughters… Curiously, instead of handing potential thieves and trouble makers into the police, he’d take them back to his office. You get the picture. It’s not rocket…
