It was a quiet day. Lieutenant Kate Dixon, enjoying a well-earned cup of coffee, was sat in her office.

“There’s a call for D.C.I. Hopkins,” standing in the doorway, said Detective Violet Yee to Dixon. “He’s not here. Will you take the call?”

“Put it through,” Dixon responded with a grown.

“This is Lieutenant Kate Dixon,” after picking up the call, Dixon said. Ed is out of the office right now. Can I help?”

“Could you let Ed know Andrew Sheppard called,” sounding a little frustrated, the voice on the other end of the line said. “David is missing.”

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
