Reinventing Black Womanhood
Random Drabble Word: “Agenda”…
A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
Dr. Lilly Mayweather spends her Sunday afternoons reading. The only thing new on the agenda, after a colleague’s recommendation, was Kaleidoscope.
Kaleidoscope, published annually by a group of graduate students in the School of Communication Studies at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale (SIUC), is an academic journal. The journal has been in existence since 1998.
Mayweather doesn’t limit her reading activities to her own academic field. She’s highly eclectic.
“What articles of interest will I discover?” as she flicked through the pages, Mayweather thought to herself. “’Reinventing Black Womanhood’ could be a facinating read.”
Mayweather, as she reads, makes copious notes.
