A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.

Raymond Carter, realizing he had Saturday free, contemplated seeing a movie. Carter, flicking through a local newspaper, happened upon an advertisement for the Angelica Independent Movie Theater.

The venue has a proven track record for showing classics. A particular film, showing for one night only, caught Carter’s attention. Billy Wilder’s Witness for the Prosecution. It’s a classic Agatha Christie adaptation.

Carter was sure, given how his boyfriend owns a copy of everything Christie ever wrote, would jump at the chance at seeing this Wilder directed film.

“A quick meal followed by a classic film,” imagined Carter. “That’s what we need.”
