Random Drabble Word: “Enucleate”…

Please be advised the Jacob “Rusty” Rust series contains themes of an adult nature….

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.

The medical examiner, Elizabeth Rogers, was enjoying a quiet moment to herself when a body was brought into her Examiner’s Room.

“Seeing is believing,” speaking to Rogers, the transport chief said. “This one is seriously sick.”

“Let’s take a look,” leaving her coffee on her desk, Rogers responded. “What do we have here?”

A 30-something brown-haired woman, with a double tap gunshot wound to the heart, was missing her eyes.

“I don’t understand why a murderer would enucleate their victim,” Rogers said. “It could be a message. Get Detectives Jeff Randall and Marty Hopkirk down here right now. Double sharp.”
