Random Drabble Word: “Settled”…
“Who’s the new kid doing?” in passing, Amber Davis asked Anthony Richards. “David Sheppard has occupied that cell for almost three weeks.”
Anthony smiled his usual sinister smile. Amber knew, as far as her boss was concerned, his satisfaction was the only thing that mattered.
“He’s settled,” Anthony responded. “Not that it matters.”
“It hasn’t gone unnoticed how you’re keeping him to yourself,” in a quiet voice, Amber told Anthony. “When are you going to start renting him out?”
“Soon,” Anthony informed Amber. “Soon.”
Amber, seeing a potential profit, wanted to add David to the well-established Rent Boy Stable.
