A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.

“It’s a quiet day in the neighbourhood,” as he sipped on his black coffee, thought Captain Ed Hopkins to himself. “What could possibly happen on such a beautiful day?”

It looks like Hopkins was a bit premature. Hopkins, on his arrival at the 16th Precinct in Manhattan, discovers all his American colleagues in a panic. Someone with a grudge to settle had set off a bomb in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Fortunately for the recently elected D.A. and the entirety of the D.A.’s staff, with all of them being in a breakfast meeting elsewhere, no one was injured.
