Shain E. Thomas, a University of North Texas alumnus, respectively graduated in 2014 and 2016 with a BS in Integrative Studies (geography, history, and political science) and an MS in Interdisciplinary Studies (communication studies, history, and journalism).

He has several publications, inclusive of BritBox, Father Brown, Harsh Light News, Paradise Unlocked, and Vincit Omnia Veritas, listed on Medium.

Journalism has always been one of Shain’s passions. Shain, whilst attending Fort Worth’s Texas Christian University, wrote for the TCU Daily Skiff. Unsurprisingly, after transferring to UNT, Shain wrote for the North Texas Daily.

Briefly, whilst studying at UNT, Shain worked for Wolfgang Puck Catering at Dallas’ Union Station. The catering company, situated inside the historic train station, occupies the entire second floor. The pastry department, where you would find Shain working, had a separate tiny floor. It was not part of the original building.

Shain, in the kitchen that Wolfgang Puck Catering managed for the museum, would work from time to time at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. He liked both locations. The kitchen at the museum, far smaller than the one at Union Station, didn’t give chefs much room to manoeuvre.
