Ironbridge…
Ironbridge, situated in Telford, Shropshire, can be found on the River Seven. The River Seven, relative to rivers in the British Isles, is the longest river in the country.
The historical significance of Ironbridge, with the bridge itself having been constructed in 1779, cannot be understated. Ironbridge is considered the Birth Place of the Industrial Revolution in the British Isles.
Living in such an area, considering how little public transit there is, one really needs access to a car. No fewer tan five bus routes, 11,13,15,16, and the 19. were cancelled during 2023. Buses are becoming far too infrequent.
Getting to and from where you want can be a nightmare without a car. The area is very much a car person’s domain. The 8, 8A, 96, and the 894 respectively run from Telford or Wellington to Bridgnorth, Telford to Much Wenlock, Telford to Shrewsbury, and from Brookside to the William Brooks School. the 96A also runs from Telford to Shrewsbury.
