John Mills — John Mills, husband to Sarah Mills, is a close personal friend to D.C.I. Ed Hopkins. Mills, an illustrator of children’s books, has been living in Shropshire since his parents relocated to the area during the mid-1980s.
Sarah J. Mills — Sarah J. Mills, the wife of John Mills, is acquainted with D.C.I. Ed Mills. Mills, formally known as Sarah Jessica Wiseman, was born at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital on Friday, 10 July 1987.
Curiously, because of her attachment to a country way of living, she has never lived outside Shropshire. Mills, an accomplished writer of children’s books, is happy with the life she leads.
Ernest Minton — Ernest Minton, husband to Georgina Minton, is Robert Minton’s father. Minton, a member of a well-established Broseley family, is a truck driver. His interest in a life beyond his work, the theatrical arts, never went anywhere because he was required to leave school at an early age.
