The Light at the End of the Tunnel
Robert Glynne Minton escapes…
Random Drabble Word of the Day is “Lacky”…
It has been two years since Robert Minton was last seen on the streets of London. Reports of sightings lead nowhere.
Minton, having been kept and prostituted out to men for their pleasure, was hidden away by Desk Sergeant Richard Gough and his lacky Constable George Harris. Curiously, for at least six months, Minton was kept at The Nunnery with 29 other boys.
The prospect of D.C.I. Ed Hopkins dropping by for a visit caused Gough and Harris to relocate the boys to a more secure facility. John’s Dyke, closer to Minton’s family home, was not remotely secure. Minton escapes.
A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
