There is much that can be said for the way you approach a challenge word. It's almost eclectic. Variety, as we all know, is the spice of life. You have appear to have multiple approaches. It entirely depends on the type of story being told. This story is certainly one of the better ones I have read today.

It's vibrantly realistic. Obviously, from the way I see it, it's not something I would want to unfold in real life. Scary on numerous levels, from the way the story unfolds, is an understatement.
