This is not something seen in the UK. I wish it were. But, thinking about it, there are only a few people I'd want to catch up with and some.... not at all.

I like the way you approached the challenge word. You did a marvellous job. I am sure many readers can relate to what you wrote on a deeply personal level. I wish I could have been one of those people.
