Concerning Matthew James Fletcher…

Much of Matthew James Fletcher’s story never gets told simply because there are parts he’d rather keep to himself. There are plans in the works that, if discovered, will find him “with’ring in thy bloom, lost in a convent’s solitary gloom!”

Eloisa to Abelard, a poem penned by Alexander Pope (1688 — 1744), is one of Fletcher’s favourite works. He quotes it every chance he gets.

A Rose by any other….

Matthew James Fletcher. That’s a name most people, possibly because the person in question doesn’t really socialise, typically don’t associate anything with. Fletcher, to begin with, was never the brightest lightbulb in the store. This is a person, having gotten angry with a skipping rope, somehow caused himself to have a seriously bloody nose.

Landing face first on the hard-wood floor, after tripping over said skipping rope, Fletcher’s blood soon formed a large pool for all to see. This isn’t the beginning of his story. It just illustrates how, back in the day, thinking first wasn’t exactly a high priority.

What if…

The beginning, if you can call it that, revolved around a gathering of children enjoying jam sandwiches. Enjoying…
