Random Drabble Word of the Day is “Fire”…

The sound of an explosion wakes Ironbridge residents. A fire truck is seen racing to Church Hill. A car, a Mini Cooper S, is furiously burning.

The narrowness of the road does not permit easy access. Firefighters are unable to bring the truck anywhere near the fire. The only thing they can do is allow the first to burn itself out.

The cause of the fire is readily apparent. A thief, during the middle of the night, attempted to steal the car but found did not have the skill required to hotwire the vehicle. Torching the car released their frustrations.

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. It is never less than 100 words. Nor is it more than 100 words. The read time is short. It is typically 30 seconds to a minute or so… Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. Leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
