Wednesday Afternoon
Random Drabble Word(s): “Wednesday”, “Afternoon”, and “Sunshine” …
A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
I am struggling to find entertaining stories. This drabble highlights how life is a matter of perspective.
“This is a marvellous Wednesday afternoon,” thought English Professor Rachell Garrett, as she wondered past Central Park’s famous statues. “The sunshine is perfect. This is where scenes from the film John Wick were shot.”
“I’m going to enjoy a moment to myself before heading home,” as she sipped her coffee, Garrett said to herself.
Garrett was seated on a park bench when Dr. Stephen Simmons, a colleague in the same department, made his presence felt.
“Do you mind if I join you?” Simmons asked Garrett. “It’s a dreadful day. I would like a little drizzle to help cool things down.”
