Yes. Unfortunately, not something I would ever wish on anyone, I think we've all been there. Self-serving is certainly their primary motivation. Selflessness is not in their vocabulary.

I like the way you highlight the issue in your writing. I would have liked to have said such people are a product of your imagination. We both know they exist in real life. This is a well-written drabble. Nicely done.
