You're right. You're referencing fagging. Fagging, when it comes to British public schools (private schools... if you're an American), was a practice where younger pupils at all boys schools served as servants for the eldest pupils. Personally, noting my actual experience, I attended a British public school.

Ian Hislop, a University of Oxford graduate, referenced fagging in at least two or three episodes of "Have I Got News for You?".
