John Bradshaw’s Santa’s Squad, originally titled The Santa Squad, hit television screens in the United States on Monday, 7 December 2020.
Santa’s Squad, with a story penned by Mark Valenti, revolves around unemployed art teacher Allie. Allie, after being hired at the Santa Squad, is given a special assignment.
Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), after what happened in the previous episode, wants nothing to do with Simon Barlow (Alex Bain). Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), perplexed by Sam’s sudden subdued mood, tries to uncover the cause.
Previously, as you might recall, Sam witnessed Simon and Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) terrorising a teenager. They made it look like they were going to torch the car with him in it. Sam, before cycling away with Simon’s bad, recognised they were up to no good.
Sam, not completely convinced Simon is telling the truth, isn’t stupid. The schoolboy, even for someone his age…
The fourth and final season of Black Lightning, with no sign of the titular character suiting up as the superhero, is four episodes in and there has been practically zero advertising promoting instalments.
The lack of advertising has made it difficult for reviewers to cover the finale season. It is almost as if series creator Salim Akil wants Black Lightning to go quietly into that good night.
The previous episode closed with Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) discovering Dr Lynn Stewart-Pierce (Christine Adams) and Tobias Whale (Marvin ‘Krondon’ Jones III) enjoying a meal together at a somewhat high-end restaurant.
Jefferson had…
Previously on EastEnders, televised Friday, 26 February 2021, the episode ended with Ruby Allen-Fowler (Louisa Lytton) pinning the blame for her loosing an unborn baby on Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
Little does Martin Fowler (James Bye) know, because of unforeseen bleeding, Ruby had already lost the baby. Ruby’s argument with Stacey, coupled with her accidentally getting pushed down a flight of stairs, provided her with the perfect cover story.
Something else Martin is completely oblivious to, noting how Ruby is prone to lies, his wife hadn’t been pregnant as long as she said.
It’s another Fairley centred episode. Dr Lyle Fairley (Darren Gilshenan) somehow manages to talk Renae Warrington (Miriama Smith) into him and Dr Daniel Harrow (Ioan Gruffudd) getting a day off work to go camping on a hiking trip. Harrow, preferring the comforts of his boat, detests camping.
Harrow soon finds he isn’t the only one burdened with accompanying Fairley on this camping trip. Detective Senior Sergeant Bryan Nichols (Damien Garvey), after Fairley apparently spoke with his boss, also got roped into the trip.
The State Ranger (Kip Gamblin), to Harrow’s disappointment, discovers Fairley’s paperwork is in order. …
Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie), in the second season premiere, was shot with a Kryptonite bullet. The wound, even though Mary Hamilton (Nicole Kang) tried treating it, worsens significantly. Ryan’s infection, according to Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), is deadly.
It looks like series writers are taking Batwoman down a similar path to characters depicted in Smallville (2001–2011). Many Smallville characters, after exposure to Kryptonite, develop various superhuman abilities. Ryan, experiencing severe pain, momentarily exhibits curious abilities.
When corrupt doctors seek to replicate the Desert Rose serum, when deploying an unstable Aaron Hellzinger (RJ Fetherstonhaugh), Mary and Colonel Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott)…
The discovery of three dead bodies buried on an island left us with more questions than answers. Whilst many clues pointing to Goliath’s identity have been dropped, noting all of them point towards Detective Chief Superintendent Jackie Twomey (Lorcan Cranitch), they could all be red herrings.
Twomey’s suspicious behaviour, noting how he is more of an impediment than a help, leaves us wondering why he bothers remaining on the police force. …
Aneeka Coleman (Crystal Lucas-Perry), approximately 20-years-go, was raped and her sister, Imani Coleman (Sydney Elise Johnson), was forced to watch.
Darryl Clark (Brian Rock), the man that apparently raped Aneeka (Layla Capers), wasn’t convicted for her rape. Whilst his charge sheet reflects six other rapes, noting her name isn’t referenced, Clark always maintained he didn’t rape Aneeka.
Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), even though so much time has passed, remembers the case because it was around the same time her mother died. …
Friday’s Coronation Street opens with Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) leaving Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) a voicemail. Does Simon seriously think Kelly has any interest in anything he might have to say?
Previously, after seeing Simon and Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) up to no good, Kelly says she might call the police on them. Nearby, possibly unnoticed by Kelly, Simon, and Jacob, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) observes the scene unfold.
Toyah, troubled by what she had witnessed, tries talking to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) about Simon. Leanne, not understanding her sister’s perspective, fails to comprehend Simon could be getting himself…
